Bifido GI Balance - Bifidobacterium Longum, Beneficial (friendly) Bacteria -- AKA Microflora/Probiotics

by, Dusty R. Green, M.Ed., author of Smart Eats, Smart Supplements, and Smart Exercise,

Bifido GI Balance introduces beneficial (friendly) bacteria BB536, bifidobacterium longum.  Also known as microflora or probiotics, beneficial bacteria are severely lacking in our food supply.  Depletion is due to several reasons:  The advent of genetically modified foods, sterilization and use of synthetic fertilizers in our soil, pollution, and stress.  In addition, over-consumption of diet sodas, sugar, alcohol, antibiotics, and over-processed / over-cooked foods add to the problem.  Also, drinking chlorinated tap water kills bacteria indiscriminately, including beneficial bacteria.

Of the approximate 100 trillion bacteria in your gut, some are good and some bad.  Ideally, 85 percent good to 15 percent bad is the healthy ratio to seek concerning bacteria.  Unfortunately, a large percentage of the population is in an unhealthy ratio causing a host of negative side effects.

Studies Show That Probiotics Aid in the Prevention or Control of:

How Do They Work?  Probiotics serve so many vital functions in your body because they:

Probiotics literally means for life. Traditional diets (like the Mediterranean Diet) with foods that contain probiotics have been shown to promote health and longevity.16

Probiotics are thought to facilitate healthy GI and perform many other important functions. For example, researchers have discovered that probiotics help decrease nuclear factor kappa B (NFkB), a pro-inflammatory cytokine, and positively modulate cellular signaling pathways.17

Studies have also shown that probiotics can influence healthy gene expression of immune cells in the gut.18 Properly formulated probiotics provide biologically active materials that can positively influence many aspects of human health.19

70%-80% of immunoglobulin-producing cells reside in the gut which is populated by nearly 100 trillion microorganisms, many of which are beneficial bacteria.20 These bacteria are considered a living part of the human organism.21 With age, we can experience a decline in vital beneficial bacteria and the strength of the immune system. Restoring the guts friendly bacteria can stimulate and regulate healthy immune function.18,21

BB536, Bifidobacterium longum, increases the number of healthy bacteria in the colon.22 An in vivo study demonstrated a significant increase in longevity in mice supplemented with bifidobacteria.23 BB536; was also found to reduce production of inflammatory cytokines that often accompany seasonal symptom development.24

Each capsule of Bifido GI Balance provides two billion colony-forming units of viable healthy bacteria.
