Udos Choice Oil Blend - Omega 3 Fatty Acids Supplements, Benefits, Side Effects
Omega-3 fatty acids, found in cold-water fish (and fish oil) and flaxseed oils, can be part of a side effects free healthy diet. Omega-3 oils contain the essential fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which are usually lacking in the typical Western diet that includes high amounts of omega-6 fats. Udos Choice Perfected Oil Blend is a balanced blend of natural unrefined oils and nutritional cofactors designed to meet the body's daily requirements of all essential fatty acids. This oil blend is mechanically pressed in a state-of-the-art low heat, light, and oxygen-free environment to maximize stability and freshness while staying side effects free.
Ingredients: Flax oil, sunflower oil, sesame oil, coconut oil, evening primrose oil (0.9 mg GLA per capsule), rice germ and bran oil, soy lecithin (non-GMO), oat germ and bran oil, tocotrienols, in a gelatin capsule. (organic). Dose: As recommended by Dr. Udo Erasmus, the author of several books on fatty acids, states "In the beginning, you may want to start with smaller amounts and gradually increase to optimum levels which is approximately 1 tablespoon per 50 pounds of body weight; especially if you have a history of being on a low fat or a no fat diet, or if your liver is weak." and he continues "We should use oils rich in omega 3 and omega 6 fats (2:1 ratio) and should be made and made and stored under protection from light, oxygen and heat. I have found that about 15ml per 25 kg of body weight (about one Tablespoon for 50 lbs) is optimum, but as little as 5-10 ml per day has health benefits." Do not take with fiber supplements. Product should be refrigerated. One tablespoon equates to about 9 capsules per day (preferably in divided doses). You can mix the oil in protein shakes, salads, pancakes, fruit smoothies, etc. The possibilities are endless and side effects free. Caution: Those taking anticoagulant side effects drugs like Coumadin (warfarin) should inform their doctor that they are taking GLA, EPA, or DHA supplements, as the physician may want to adjust the dose of anticoagulant medication based on tests that measure coagulation factors such as template bleeding time. Since GLA, EPA, and DHA interfere with blood clotting, those who suffer from any type of hemorrhagic disease related to excessive bleeding or blood vessel leakage should consult their physician before supplementing these fatty acids. Note: It is important to refrigerate EPA / DHA Omega 3 fatty acids supplements once they are received for the most benefits. Warnings:
