DMAE / Ginkgo Biloba

A number of well designed studies published in medical journals have shown that ginkgo can support mental function in people of all ages. Some European physicians have stated that ginkgo is more effective than high doses of Hydergine (a prescription drug). The maker / formulator, Life Extension Foundation, has taken the pure 24% concentration of ginkgo biloba used by European pharmaceutical companies and combined it with DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol) and related co-factors.
Studies have consistently shown ginkgo to be beneficial in treating a variety of conditions. Ginkgo has a positive effect on circulation, both cerebral and peripheral, including an ability to reduce abnormalities of muscle tone, of blood vessels, capillary permeability, abnormal aggregation of blood platelets, arterial damage and tissue damage caused by low blood flow.
DMAE is a memory enhancing substance common to a number of drugs that are known to stabilize cell membranes. Cell membrane degradation has been proposed as one of the prime mechanisms of aging. DMAE is also the immediate precursor to choline in the building and repair of cell membranes, especially in the brain and central nervous system.
